Reims est situé à l'est de Paris, au carrefour des autoroutes A4 (Paris-Strasbourg) et A26 (Calais-Lyon). La ville est bien desservie par le train (TGV). Elle est surtout connue pour le champagne, mais elle recèle aussi des trésors architecturaux et historiques, dont la Cathédrale Notre-Dame, avec son Ange au sourire, et la Basilique Saint-Rémy. L'UFR de Lettres et Sciences Humaines de l'Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne est située au sud-ouest de la ville. Pour un plan ou une photo satellite, utilisez Google maps ou un autre site de ce type (taper "57 rue Pierre Taittinger" et "Reims"). Pour se rendre à l'UFR des Lettres en bus depuis la gare de Reims-ville, aller à pied jusqu'au Théâtre (10 minutes de la gare), puis prendre la ligne H direction Croix-Rouge, descendre à Facultés. Depuis la gare TGV Champagne-Ardenne, prendre le bus K en direction de Bétheny et descendre à Guyard. Remonter en direction de l'université. Le bâtiment Recherche est le premier à droite du parking
Reims is located East of Paris at the junction of the A4 (Paris-Strasbourg) and A26 (Calais-Lyon) motorways. Train connections are adequate (TGV trains). Reims is famous for its champagne, which is produced in the region. Yet the city can also boast architectural and historical landmarks, among which the Cathédrale Notre-Dame with its Smiling Angel and the Basilique Saint-Rémy, where some of the early Kings of France are buried. The Arts Faculty (UFR des Lettres et Sciences Humaines de l'Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne) is situated in the South-West of the city. For a map or a satellite photograph, use Google maps (type "université", "57 rue Pierre Taittinger" and "Reims"). To reach the University by bus from Reims-city station, walk the short distance to the Theatre (10 minutes), and then take the H bus line towards Croix-Rouge, get off at Facultés. From the new TGV Champagne-Ardenne station, take the K bus line towards Bétheny and get off at Guyard. Walk the street up towards the university. The Batiment Recherche is the first on the right at the car-park.Taxis are also available at both station.
